Why Copper

Copper is the most eco-friendly gutter material available, fully recyclable, safe to use and can be worked at all temperatures. Approximately 60% - 70% of the material content used in the production of our copper gutter system comes from recycled copper.

With the growing awareness of environmental issues and increasing concern for the health and safety of those constructing and maintaining buildings, copper is more than ever the most cost effective, adaptable roofing and guttering material of the future.

Copper is one of the few metals that is fully sustainable. To date only 12% of the current known copper reserves have ever been mined. Although the percentage and source varies, a 2006 Copper Development Association (CDA) market study, that took place over a 10 year time frame, suggested that at least 70 % of the copper material used domestically in architecture is recycled (scrap) copper.

The Embodied Energy and Carbon Dioxide emissions of copper are substantially lower than most other gutter materials.

Copper guttering is the only choice if you want to lower your carbon footprint and help save our planet.
